Premiership coach Paul O’Brien is returning to lead the Venom Senior Women into the 2027 VBL season.
Keeping a coach who has already won a flag gives the group continuity: the standards, the habits and the way the team plays all carry into the new season.
Open runs: Senior Women
Open runs for the Senior Women are on Tuesday 13 and Tuesday 20 October, 7 to 9:30pm, at Warrandyte High School. Register through the link on our Instagram before you come.
Tryouts: Youth Women
The Youth Women’s tryouts run on Thursday 15 and Tuesday 20 October, 7 to 8:30pm, at Warrandyte Sports Complex. Youth League is the step between junior basketball and the senior side, and it’s where many of our Senior Women started.
The women’s pathway
From the Redbacks to the VJBL Venom girls, then Youth League and the Senior Women, every step happens at Warrandyte. If you’re a junior girl wondering how far the game can take you, this is the team to watch.
